Young Women's retreat

Thursday 20 June – Monday 24 June

Going Forth

While on retreat we aim to create a peaceful atmosphere, free from distraction, that is conducive to deepening practice. We will ask you to help us maintain this environment in several ways. If any of these will be problematic for you, please contact us before you book.

  • We ask all attendees to turn off (not just on flight mode) mobile phones and other similar devices. If someone needs to contact you in an emergency, there is a special phone number you can share with those who might need it. This is sent to you after booking. During retreats the team check the phone for voice/text messages several times a day.
  • Dharmagiri is a retreat centre free from smoke, drug, alcohol and animal foods (such as meat, egg, dairy).
  • To support an atmosphere of stillness and contentment for yourself and other retreatants, we ask you to abstain from all forms of sexual activity while you are on retreat.

Your Welfare

We want you to have a safe and enjoyable time on retreat with us. If any of the following applies, please contact us before you book so that we can make sure we will be able to accomodate you in the best way possible:

  • You have any physical, emotional or mental health difficulties that may affect your participation in the retreat or you will be unable to share a room.
  • You have any dietary requirements other than requiring plant-based food (all food at Dharmagiri is plant-based) or an allergy to gluten, nuts, peanuts and/or soy (options for these are available on the booking form).
  • You are under 18 years old.
  • There is anything else we may need to be aware of to ensure you get the most out of your retreat experience.

Terms for booking and price levels

If you wish to cancel your booking - Get in touch with us as soon as possible and let us know. If you cancel more than two weeks before the start of the retreat/course we will only keep the booking fee (500 SEK). If you cancel later than that we will keep the whole fee. Unless there are grounds for an exception, for example due to illness.

You decide if you pay the full or reduced price. The reduced price is mainly for those with a lower income or limited economy for various reasons: For example if you are unemployed, a student, a pensioner or on long-term sick leave. Our principle is that a lack of money should not be a hindrance for participating in our activities. If you can only pay an even lower price than the reduced rate, get in touch with the centre and we will find a solution.

If you are able to pay more than either of the two fixed rates that is very welcome. You can then choose to give dana/donation on top of your selected price in connection with your booking and payment. This will allow us to give a lower price to those in need of it and also help us cover the costs of running the centre and Dharmagiri retreat centre.
