Buddha Day weekend at Stockholm Buddhist Centre - with the Oslo Sangha

Everyone welcome regardless of experience of Buddhism or Triratna.

This weekend we celebrate the mystery of the Buddha's Enlightenment under the full moon in May, 2600 years ago; and his teaching that the wisdom and compassion he had realised were open to all. 

Every two years we hold a Buddha Day weekend with friends in Triratna's Oslo sangha. This year it's our turn to host them, and our friends from Triratna's Linköping sangha will be coming too. 

Saturday 10th May at 10-16 at the centre 
What was the mystery the Buddha understood, and how can we realise this ourselves? We'll explore this through a range of activities including meditation, a talk, entertainments and puja at Stockholm Buddhist Centre. You'll find the programme for the day here. Bring your vegetarian (or vegan) contribution to our potluck lunch - and for the tea break!

Sunday 11th May at Strandkyrkogården 
We'll join our Oslo friends in a group visit (organised by the Linköping sangha) to the Buddhist cemetery at Strandkyrkogården - including a picnic. We'll meet at the stupa at 11 for a ritual. Everyone welcome regardless of experience of Buddhism or Triratna.

Du kan ta buss 807 mot Svartbäcken eller Brandbergens centrum från Gullmarsplan, läge/hållplats V. Bussen går var 10:e minut och färden tar ca 12 minuter. Bussen som går kl 10:23 eller 10:33 är goda alternativ. Hållplatsen heter "Strandkyrkogården". Adressen till Strandkyrkogården är Skrubba allé 1, Tyresö.
